I’ve been dying to see the new Gossip video, not only because Heavy Cross is so AWESOME but also because historically, their videos have been dire. True to form though, the video is soulless and boring – they’ve styled Beth up like some kind of RnB diva and tried to direct her to move her hands around her face (mysterious and elegant like) which looks totally forced and unnatural. The video actually ends up detracting from the music – HELLO WTF WEIRD PAPER HAIR MEN?

It seems as though no video director can translate how powerful they can be live into a video which just seems so odd given the band’s natural charisma! For the next one, let’s give it a male barbie make-under please!
