After months of slogging my guts out drawing and writing, my first ever solo zine, NANCY, is finally completed and ready for you all to purchase! The over ridding theme is girliness in gay boys but hopefully it has an appeal for most people - it also features music, anime, goth stuff and other bits!

Pre-Halloween horror movie references ABOUND! I'm absolutely in love with Willow's Song although, I understand it may be a bit folksy for most - plus the song's derived a lot of it's magic and power from the above scene from Wicker Man. It's still beautiful!

(Oh and those familiar with the Sneaker Pimps' first album may know this song as 'How Do' - and those who think I'm a loser referencing the first Sneaker Pimps album can suck my left one - haha!).

Second Chance Cinema presents a FREE screening of Brian De Palma’s ‘Carrie’ (1976) to welcome in Halloween on Wednesday, 28 October at the Dalston Superstore (117 Kingsland Road E8 not more than a few minutes walk from Dalston Junction in Hackney).

Free popcorn, free of attitude, prizes and very polysexual. Doors open at 7pm and the film starts at 8pm.

I'd had Cloudbusting by Kate Bush floating around my head for a few days, when I co-incidentally came across this cover by Wild Nothing. I have to admit generally getting off on cover versions of songs that snobs think are TOO SACRED to touched by anyone.

This cover version really doesn't bring anything new to the table, I fully admit it. That said, it's refreshing sometimes to hear songs being test driven by different artists. PLUS, anything I can do to wind up snobs is good in my books.

The amazing A1 creep KLAUS NOMI doing Lightning Strikes WHICH I didn't realise until I tried looking it up on Spotify, is a cover version! The original is almost as surreal in that the lyrics sound completely mental in a seemingly normal context! They're actually both amazing in their own ways! CHECK-IT-OUT:

This lady to me is the STAR of the Beethoven movie!! I remember as a child being furious that she got CUT in the prime of her performance by the stinking child drowning. Cruelly, you can hear wafts of her magical vocal stylings over the splashing and drowning. Worth skipping through the drowning to hear her climax! 'THE POOL!'

PS WHERE IS THE PADDED ZEBRA!!!??? Take me there! Haha! Creep-central!
