Miniature mixtape selection for you you guyz! These are all tracks heavily on rotation in my headphones on my way into work - think the upbeat is keeping me going through these frrreeezzziiinnngggg times - hopefully it'll do the same for you! recommend you play them on shuffle and mostly ENJOY!
NEW
♫ MEN - Off our backs (MP3)
these guyz were amazing at Ladyfest last weekend - JD is a super charismatic frontmanz. I could only be draw to them because of obvz the Le Tigre similarities but I'm stopping myself over-thinking it so I can just enjoy! queer dance party music!
♫ The Go! Team - T.O.R.N.A.D.O. (MP3)
heavy noisefest joyousness - loving the rap on this! not sure I could ever play this in a club without everyone getting angry shaky fists tho! ha!
♫ Crystal Castles - Not In Love (ft. Robert Smith) (MP3)
sigh forever robert smith singing about sad-love VS . crystal castles classic casio chaos (ha - I got carried away with alliteration here - but I'm sure you understand!)
♫ Rihanna - S&M (MP3)
off her new album - which I totes heart. upbeat stomping pop. if she's using S&M as a metaphor then it's so thinly veiled that I think I don't get it. Maybe she likes S&M... which I can't imagine she actually does - but then it takes all sorts to make a pop world!
♫ Far East Movement - Like a G6 (MP3)
trashy electro-rap-pop-disco. haha - now, don't trash me until you've given this a good go! it's disposable for sure but I've been completely in love with it since I heard it used in Gossip Girl. APPARENTLY it's 'BLOWING UP' in all the clubz in merica! And who can resists a song with the word slizzard! like a polished pop spank rock - AMAZING
OLD
♫ Debbie Deb - When I Hear Music (MP3)
sigh debbie - she has a sad story but 'when I hear music' is the cutest electronic dance party track from 1984.
♫ Mantronix - Got To Have Your Love (MP3)
CLA-SICK electro-funk (ewww the word funk) - it's so simple but so catchy it's unbearable! I always shy away from playing this because it's slow but think I might JUST DO IT at the next unskinny bop! BE THERE!
♫ Mc Luscious - Boom! I Got Your Boyfriend (MP3)
early 90s GIRL RAP! I don't really know why this isn't a club classic! I can't remember how I stumbled across this track - I think it may have been one of those related videos on YouTube (they're the best)! BOOM! WARNING: the moaning around 2:12 is a bit TMI. haha!
♫ Stevie V - Dirty Cash (MP3)
late 80s - hip house (apparently that's the genre name) haha! another downbeat disco track that I'm always afraid to play! I love it when she says 'Iii want yourrr monneeey' - LOVE the male crap rap interlude! The girl rap is AMAZING on the other hand which makes it all amazing!
(PS hope you like the animated gif - i made it myself using old videos and stills n'stuff)
With HALLOWEEN officially over now I have to admit, I still have this Morrissey song, firmly stuck in my head like a terrible earworm. I've actually always have an inexplicable dislike of Morrissey and The Smiths generally but it feels like my barriers are coming down a bit in my old age! Ha! Plus the video is purely amazing - guest starring KATHY BURKE!
HELL HOUSE 2 was an amazing success - thanks for all of you that came - be sure and see if your goofy faces made it onto the MOST CAKE! In the mean time, WATCH OUT - there's going to be MORE music updates coming yr way (random choon for you).
The Coathangers - Stop Stomp Stompin
This popped into my head today and I felt sad that they seem to be a constant carousel of American touring but they haven't had a stop here in the UK!!!! European tour PLEASE!

SEE YOU IN HELL!!!
I can't express to you my over-whelming joy at coming across all-girl 80s rock group the Pandoras. They're fast and furious guitar power-pop and I'm going to sacrilegiously offer up that the lead singer, Paula Pierce (RIP), has a raw vocal sound similar to an early Courtney Love.
I wouldn't normally do this, but as it's too tough to pick a track, I'm going to direct you to the whole of the first album, available on this blog, BUFFALO TONES. The second album is available on Spotify and is also rammed full of gems (one particular track is my favourite from this album It Felt Alright). Now I've found them, I'm not sure how I'm going to wean myself off them TBH and the more I fall in love with them, the more I keep asking myself why they're not more famous! 'DO THE HUMP! DO THE HUMP!'
I'm completely obsessed with Cheryl Cole's new offering, Promise This. Being part goth I'm obviously obsessed with all the black: spooky trees, mondo shadows, oodles of black clothing. I completely love the dress with the black veins all over it - reminds me of that bit in Legend where Princess Lily is seduced by the darkness - that bit rulez. The all gay part of me loves the catchy fast chorus and the zig-zaggy dance routine. I'm giving this song my special accolade of MONSTER OF POP! TA-DA!

Devil Lives in My Husband's Body - Pulsallama
We contributed this song to DirtyConverse disco's mixtape given away at their September club! It's an all time favourite and I actually only just discovered that there was a video for it.
It's impossible to play in a club environ-mon because it's like a spoken word story with a chorus so I was thrilled to be able to contribute it to the mixtape!
We'll be DJing at the next DirtyConverse Disco, October 9th! Put it in yr diary kidz!!

Two tracks about eating lady cake for you! It's very on trend!
♫ Christina – Woohoo (MP3)
I know the album’s got completely slated but I’m still COMPLETELY obsessed with this track. The computer game style vocal effect on the ‘Woohoo’ thrills me as does the Nicki Minaj. Her contribution to the track is minimal but there’s something so exciting about her voice I can’t help but love her. She's some kind of magic! I love rude pop.
♫ Pink Dollaz – I’m Tasty (MP3)
These girls are pure potty mouths – prudes beware! This is like the uncensored unpop version of Woohoo. So many great lines – so minimal, so catchy! 'Just the thought of you fucking me made you loose your mind, instant insanity!' I’ve heard there are big things on the horizon for these girls and I can totes believe it!
